Happy pub day to Alan Siegel and Irene Etzkorn, whose new book SIMPLE: Conquering the Crisis of Complexity, goes on sale today! Irene wrote a great blog post today talking about the dangers of “faux simplicity” and how, for business, simplicity is a great way to cut through the clutter to communicate more effectively with customers. From a business standpoint, it makes sense. A happy customer is a loyal customer, after all.
But as consumers, this helps us as well. If we show companies that we demand simpler practices, less legalese, and better communication, then competitors will follow suit.
